I'm enjoying a lovely holiday in England at the moment, but I managed to squeeze in some painting time at the weekend, between the laundry, packing and general getting ready for a holiday. This is the first time I started a painting on a black background, but I really like the effect. So much so, that I'm not sure where to go with it now, or rather, if I want to go anywhere else with it. It can often be hard to decide, when a painting is done. And sometimes, it is done long before you thought it might be. And even though I can see quite a few areas that could do with some fixing, I think I might just leave it as it is.
Love your painting, the black background makes it very dramatic. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThe background does look wonderfully dramatic, I really like the white drawn line and think to work it more may overdo the freshness of the lines on the black. I think this is beautiful, I love it.
ReplyDeleteFor me this is absolutely finishd. Really fascinating art.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF♥
this is really clever, spooky, dark and wonderful - I'd love to know what inspired you to create this!

She is beautiful. I think the artist determines whether or not a painting is done--or is it the painting itself? :D Sometimes it is hard to say which it is.
ReplyDeleteYes, leave it as it is! It's perfect ....
ReplyDeleteOoh... I honestly think that you should leave it just as it is... There is something most intriguing about it... and the fact that areas of it are 'incomplete' seems to make it all the more interesting... It kind of raises questions from the viewer, which is what Galleries always want, isn't it? It's fabulously eery! :0)
