Back home

I've had the most wonderful holiday last week, in one of my most favourite cities, Stockholm. Ten years ago, I spent the best year of my life (so far, anyway) there, and I enjoyed visiting all my favourite places again,  in and around the city, and up at the university campus.

But what made my stay up there extra special last week was a very special person, who I felt was with me every minute I was there, even though he was more than 1500 kilometers away. Now I'm back home again, messing around with my paints and my art journal, but unfortunately my very special person is still too far away.

Sending lots of hugs and kisses across the channel until we meet :)

  4. To be 1500 km away from a person and yet feeling you're closed to him is a good trait.. I guess you had a lovely time there. I've been in Stockholm just a couple of times, even I do not live soooo far away.. only about 500 km I think.. :))

I like your peace of work, looking forward to see the rest of it, when it's completed.. lovely words! :)

wishing you a lovely day! :)

  5. What a wonderful vacation you had! I have never been to Stockholm but I hope to get there some day. You have such a richness in your colors- which is tough to do with such soft colors! Love the touches of red!

  8. Very intriguing! I've never been to Stockholm but I'm glad that your visit back there ten years after you last lived there was just as wonderful as you remembered (often I've returned somewhere years later and its changed beyond recognition or just doesn't live up to my memories). I'm curious about this wonderful person and hope that the distance disappears for you very soon!
